If your baby just got their first tooth — or even if you’re still expecting — it’s not too early to think about their first
dental visit. We know that can feel like a lot. Let us tell you what your child’s first visit at Castle Creek actually
looks like.
When should my child first see a dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends your child’s first dental visit by age 1 — or within six
months of the first tooth appearing. It establishes a dental home, allows early detection of developmental
concerns, and gives you practical guidance that fits your family’s life.
What happens at the appointment?
The first visit is short, gentle, and designed to be positive for your child. We’ll do a gentle exam of teeth, gums,
jaw, and oral tissues, check for early signs of decay or developmental concerns, talk through diet and home care
habits, and answer your questions — in English or Spanish.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. Castle Creek Pediatric Dentistry accepts Medicaid and CHIP. We believe every child deserves quality dental
care, and we work hard to make that care accessible to all families in our community. If you have questions about
coverage or scheduling, just call us.
¿Hablamos español?
Sí. We have Spanish-speaking staff and we are happy to serve families in both English and Spanish. Tu familia es bienvenida aquí.
We’re located in North Ogden, Utah. Schedule at castlecreekpediatricdentistry.com or give us a call.
